The executive president of the National Electricity Company (ENDE Corporation), Marco Antonio Escobar, reported that the country has a surplus of 1,400 megawatts (MW) of electrical energy ready for the industrialization of the country. He realized that Bolivia has an installed capacity of 3,000 MW and internal demand is for 1,600 MW.
