UNICOM/ENDE CORPORACIÓN: ENDE BUILDS THE SECOND TRANSMISSION LINE IN 500 KV THAT WILL STRENGTHEN THE ELECTRIC SUPPLY IN THE BOLIVIAN EAST

UNICOM ENDE 19-10-2023.- The National Electricity Company (Ende Corporation) advances in the Construction of the “Transmission Line in 500 KV Carrasco – Gaps and Associated Substations”, being the second electric transmission line in 500 kV of Bolivia.This line of extra high voltage, will allow strengthening the electricity supply in the departments of Cochabamba and Santa Cruz, in addition to Provide the transport capacity necessary for the export of electricity.

The project includes the construction of a transmission line of 186.30 kilometers long, From the Carrasco substation, located in the municipality of Entre Ríos of the Carrasco province of Cochabamba, to the Brechas substation, located in the Cordillera province of the Department of Santa Cross.

This work will allow the creation of a large capacity for electricity transport, which will interconnect the eastern and central areas of the National Interconnected System (SIN), strengthening the Electric supply in the Bolivian East Region, will also allow the surplus of Generation in the collector node gaps for export.

The project is in full execution, with an important advance in the construction of foundations of line structures, which quantified add up to 427 reticulated metal structures that will form This electric transport work.
