UNICOM ENDE / 19-03-2024.- The National Electricity Company (Ende Corporation) faces the construction of the project “Transmission line in 500 kilovolts (KV) Carrasco – the associated gaps and substations”, being The second line of electric transmission in extra high voltage of Bolivia, which to date reports an advance of 77% and will allow strengthen the electricity supply in the departments of Cochabamba and Santa Cruz, in addition to providing the capacity of Electric power transport needed to market, in the future, electricity to the neighboring country from Brazil.

The project is in charge of Ende Transmission and includes the construction of a line of 186.30 kilometers long, From the Carrasco substation (extension), located in the municipality of Entre Ríos in the province Carrasco del Cochabamba Department, until the Las Grechas (new facilities) substation, located at 35 kilometers south of The city, close to the population of Basilio, in the Cordillera province of the department of Santa Cruz. Currently performs the construction of foundations, the assembly of structures and the laying of conductors in the line, as well as All civil works and equipment assembly in Carrasco substations and gaps.

The line will allow the creation of a large capacity for electricity transport, which will interconnect The eastern and central areas of the National Interconnected System (SIN), strengthening the supply electric and allowing to have the generation surplus at the Las Grechas collector node, for the future export.
