ENDE TRANSMISIÓN CONCLUDED ELECTRICAL LINE THAT ALLOWS CONNECTION TO THE SIN OF THE EL DORADO WIND FARM.

ENDE Transmisión S.A., subsidiary of ENDE Corporación, in this management concluded the execution of the project “Transmission Line 230 kV Brechas – El Dorado”, which allows the injection to the National Interconnected System (SIN) of the electrical energy generated by the “El Dorado Wind Farm ”, The largest in Bolivia with an installed capacity of 54 MW generated through the 15 installed wind turbines that are located south of the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, in the municipality of Cabezas

The scope of ENDE Transmisión included the construction of the corresponding expansions in the Brechas and El Dorado electrical substations in 230 kV, as well as the construction of 51.15 km of electric transmission line in complete double triple with two conductors per phase

This important project is part of the national strategy to transform the energy matrix, which contributes to the execution of renewable energy projects, in order to displace the use of gas and diesel for electricity generation. Thus reducing the environmental impact and facilitating, for example, that the gas can be destined to export markets for commercialization at a better price.

ENDE TRANSMISIÓN ADVANCES IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE 230 kV POWER LINE “LOS TRONCOS – GUARAYOS – TRINIDAD”

ENDE Transmisión S.A., A subsidiary of ENDE Corporación, is executing the project “Transmission Line 230 kV Los Troncos – Guarayos – Trinidad”, which will allow to extend the Interconnected Trunk System to the north of the department of Santa Cruz and to the city of Trinidad in the department of Beni, through new transmission lines in 230 and 115 kV.

The scope includes the construction of the transmission line of approx. 383.30 km in length, made up of two sections with two different tensions; The first section of 372.16 km double triple 230 kV that will start in the existing substation Los Troncos 230 kV, will cross the new intermediate substation Guarayos 230 kV and in turn will connect with the new lowering substation called El Paraíso 230/115 kV ; the second section of 11.14 km double triple at 115 kV, which will continue from the new El Paraíso 230/115 kV step-down substation to the existing Trinidad substation.

Currently, the project, which presents a physical progress of 79%, has as its main objective the replacement of thermoelectric generation to Diesel in the isolated system of Ascención de Guarayos and the Moxos thermal power plant (Trinidad), which represents a higher economic cost and environmental impact for the country. In addition, it will strengthen the reliability of the electricity supply to the city of Trinidad, the population of Guarayos, and will make it possible to increase the electricity transmission capacity to meet the growing demand of these important regions of the country.

UNICOM/ENDE TRANSMISIÓN: ENDE TRANSMISIÓN CONCLUDES INSTALLATION OF THE FIRST 230 kV UNDERGROUND ELECTRIC TRANSMISSION LINE IN THE COUNTRY

ENDE Transmisión SA, a subsidiary of ENDE Corporación, is currently executing the project “Transmission Line in 500 kV Carrasco – Santivañez and Associated Substations”, being the first electric transmission line in 500 kV in Bolivia, historical milestone in the construction and subsequent maintenance of this type of high-voltage lines with a large transport capacity, a work that positions the country at the level of the electricity sector of neighboring countries of the American continent.

As part of the scope of this great project, there is the interconnection of the Santivañez and Santivañez II substations, in which two types of 230 kV power lines are managed; an overhead section of 360 meters and another underground section of 410 meters to the ISA substation.

The installation of this 230 kV underground line, which is used to allow the crossing (below) of 4 existing lines at the outlet of the Santivañez substation, is also the first of these characteristics in our country, which was built from the stage of civil works until conducting diagnostic tests of the cable for its subsequent commissioning.

It should be noted that this project is built with its own engineering and Bolivian labor, becoming a historic milestone for the country’s electricity sector.

  • UNICOM/ENDE TRANSMISIÓN: ENDE Transmisión carries out specialized training in its Substation Maintenance School

The idea that young and rebellious people ENDE Transmisión, a subsidiary of ENDE Corporación, as part of its Substation Maintenance School in the months of September, October and November of the 2021 management is carrying out advanced specialized training to Engineers and Technicians of Substations of the 9 regional offices that the Company has in the country.

The development of the training that is in charge of the Substation Maintenance Department, under the Operations and Maintenance Management of ENDE Transmisión, is divided into 3 modules:

Module 1: Substation Equipment (carried out in September 2021)
    • Substation Configuration
    • Isolation Coordination
    • Power Transformers
    • Power Switches
    • Instrumentation Transformers (CTs and PTs)
    • Lightning rod
    • Battery Banks
Module 2:Substation Maintenance (carried out in October 2021)
    • Management of Preventive, Predictive and Corrective Maintenance

ENDE Transmisión SA, a subsidiary of ENDE Corporación, is executing the Project “Electric Transmission Line 500 kV Carrasco – Santivañez and Associated Substations”, the first infrastructure in extra high electrical voltage in the country, which marks a historical milestone in the construction and subsequent maintenance of this type of lines, since it represents a technological leap in the transport of electric energy, which puts Bolivia at the level of the electricity sector of the neighboring countries of the South American continent.

The construction of this project was reactivated by the current government, after it was paralyzed in 2020 by the previous government administration and by the pandemic.

The project that to date presents a physical execution of 81%, consists of the construction of a Transmission Line in 500,000 Volts, a simple triple with a bundle of 4 conductors per phase, its length is approximately 235.4 km. This line will connect the Carrasco Substation (existing), which is close to the Carrasco and Entre Ríos Thermoelectric Plants, with the expansion of the Santivañez II Substation located in the Santivañez area. It should be noted that this power line is built with completely Bolivian design, engineering and labor, allowing the generation of jobs in the project’s areas of influence.

This important project, whose conclusion is scheduled for the first semester of 2022, will strengthen the transmission of the electricity system in the central and eastern axis, providing greater reliability to the National Interconnected System (SIN), to guarantee the constitutional precept of universal access to basic service Of electricity.

Likewise, this project will consolidate the first step for the export of surplus electricity to neighboring countries. This fact will allow the country to generate additional resources, also allowing a better use of the generation of the system, which will be reflected in a lower operating cost and gas consumption.
